Job Description
The Greer Group is seeking an Inventory Specialist for a local water utility company with locations in Raleigh and Cary. Travel between both locations is required. This is a long-term temporary position with the potential to become permanent.
Overview:We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to support warehouse operations. This role is critical in ensuring accurate inventory control, efficient warehouse management, and timely processing of materials essential to water infrastructure and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and perform routine inventory audits
  • Ensure FIFO (First-In, First-Out) inventory practices are followed
  • Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, move, and organize materials and equipment
  • Enter and maintain inventory data using Excel and inventory tracking systems
  • Process incoming and outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently
  • Maintain detailed documentation of inventory movements, deliveries, and discrepancies
  • Coordinate with internal departments, suppliers, and field crews regarding inventory needs
  • Keep warehouse areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
  • Independently manage inventory responsibilities with minimal supervision

Job Requirements
Required Qualifications:
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
