Job description

Night Shift Forklift Warehouse Material Handler

The NIGHT SHIFT Forklift Warehouse Material Handler will be responsible for moving inventory around the warehouse during NIGHT hours. Must be well-versed in safety and operational protocols of sit-down fork lifts. Provides support for the control and movement of finished goods inventory. Delivers required goods to internal customers. Monitors the quality of completed products. Works under general supervision and follows all plant safety regulations.

Salary Range: Hourly

Typical work activities:

  • Operates forklift to move inventory around the warehouse.
  • Ensures orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed, and staging finished product final distribution.
  • Contributes to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area.
  • Documents materials and records units delivered and location of units.
  • Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections.
  • Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items.
  • Keeps inventory, loading areas, and machinery clean.
  • Learns and adheres to workplace safety regulations.
  • Must have 20/20 vision (with correction, if necessary) and no color blindness or inability to judge color hues.

Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 5+ years of Experience using a sit-down fork lift
  • Computer proficiency, familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Has a working knowledge of the metric system.
  • Experience with inventory counting and reconciliation.
  • Familiar with warehouse management systems, including RF scanners.
  • Ability to achieve Fork Lift/Clamp Truck certification.
  • Physical ability to move or stack inventory as required.
  • Good writing, organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills.
  • A sense of urgency and ability to work at a fast pace when required.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently, in an accurate and efficient manner.
  • Ensure compliance to safety, regulatory, and company policies and procedures.

M-TH 6pm - 6am; Fridays as needed.
