Description
Construction of racking and Installation of solar panels on commercial and pitched roofs
Requirements
Summary:
Installation of solar panels on commercial and pitched roofs
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
• Loading and unloading of equipment into the work trucks
• Safely climbing ladders and navigating potentially steep roof planes
• Mounting of racking, modules and electrical equipment
• Electrical wiring of solar array (AC and DC)
• Leaving job sites clean and orderly
• Providing knowledge to customers at time of install
• (Other duties as necessary)
Skills and Qualifications:
Required Skills:
• Punctuality
• Ability to work well with a team.
• General tool knowledge required
• Knowledge of Concrete formwork and Finishing
• Appetite for knowledge/growth
• Positive attitude
• Willingness to work through both hot and cold weather
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• A willingness and ability to learn, take direction, and retain newly learned skills.
• OSHA 30 (Can be received after hiring)
• Overtime and weekend work may be required
• Use of Cell phone for Clocking in and out purposes
• Other duties as assigned by foreman/crew leaders and management
Preferred Skills:
• Experience installing grid tied PV systems
• Ability to interpret plans and string charts.
• Knowledge of residential electrical systems
• Have prior experience in the construction/Electrical/roofing field
• Concrete Formwork and Finishing

• Ability to push, pull and lift materials weighing up to 70 lbs. unassisted.
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
• Ability to sit and climb or balance
• Ability to climb ladders, scaffolds, or poles.
• Ability to work on a flat or pitched roof
• Ability to work in hot and cold temperatures
• Ability to utilize Aerial equipment for roof access
Salary Description
$19-$22/hour - Prevailing Wage work possible
