for Kinesiology Administration (11222)
The School of Kinesiology, housed in the College of Education and Human Development, at the University of Minnesota, has an occasional need for part-time, temporary
or casual employees. This does not constitute a posting for vacancies but establishes a pool of applicants should openings occur during the 2026-\2027 academic year. The work schedule is temporary in nature, meaning the employee is limited to 67 days of work in a calendar year. It can also be casual in nature, meaning the employee can work 14 or fewer hours per week. Employees working in this position are paid an hourly rate; temporary and casual employees are not eligible for retirement plans, health insurance, vacation, sick leave, or the Regents Scholarship. 
Applications are reviewed as openings occur, and individual applicants are invited to interview when their skills or areas of expertise match an opening. This posting is designed to establish a pool of applicants and there may or may not be an available opening at the time of application. Applications will not be acknowledged but will be reviewed when such openings occur throughout the academic year.
Job Responsibilities:
Support academic and/or research initiatives of the department (100%)
Work with faculty and staff on various teaching and research projects
Use computer software programs such as Microsoft Office, Google Suite, University Box, Canvas, Adobe Acrobat
Comply with university required policies and procedures and complete required trainings as necessary
Meet with manager as needed, online as well as in-person.

Qualifications
 

Required Qualifications:
Some High School education or 2 years work experience
Ability to communicate with manager and team members over email, phone, and/or videoconference
Ability to collaborate effectively with people from a variety of communities, backgrounds, and identities

Over 150 students enroll in six graduate degree programs (MEd in Sport and Exercise Science, Sport Management, and Physical Activity and Health; MS and PhD in Kinesiology with seven emphasis areas). Pay and Benefits
 

Pay Range: $15.25 - $50.00 per hour ; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
