CAD Designer / DrafterPay Rate: 35-50 per hourOnsite in Chanhassen, MNWork Schedule: 8:00am to 4:30 pm CST12 month contract

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical CAD Designer to join the AES Project Engineering group. In this role, you will create designs and technical drawings for chemical dispense systems and blending equipment. You will work closely with engineers to improve manufacturing systems, implement customer specifications, and support the assembly floor. The ideal candidate is a hands-on designer who is proficient in SolidWorks, comfortable creating and editing P&IDs.

Requirements:

● 3+ years of experience in equipment design, industrial machinery, or related industries (Semiconductor equipment experience is a plus).

● Associate’s degree in a Mechanical Engineering related field.

● Proficiency in SolidWorks (CSWA/CSWP preferred). Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D). Experience with Agile/PLM systems is a plus.

● strong ability to read and create/edit P&IDs, schematics, and other product documentation.

● Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and production teams.

Responsibilities

 Design & Modeling: Use SolidWorks to create and modify mechanical drawings from concepts and red-lined documents. Create and maintain mechanical area layouts.

 P&ID & Documentation: Read, edit, and create Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), schematics. Follow and contribute to mechanical design “Best Practices”

 BOM & Sourcing: Create and review mechanical Bills of Materials (BOMs) for accuracy and source mechanical components according to selection standards

 Change Management: Initiate, update, and approve Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and process documentation.

 Manufacturing Support: Interface directly with production employees to resolve design issues on as needed.

 Project Support: Work in conjunction with the engineering team to ensure implementation of customer specification and design reviews
