Description

The production Admin role is currently temp. role that most likely go through November. It is a M-F hours 7am to 4pm. 


The role requires superior organization and planning skills, since production admin examine customer orders, available staff and inventory, and machinery capabilities to effectively set and manage production schedules, often for multiple lines. They will also identify opportunities to make processes more efficient and cut down on production costs through more effective scheduling.

Essential Functions:

  • Analyze customer orders and requests, delivery dates, plant personnel and equipment capabilities, and inventory availability, to create an actionable and efficient production schedule.
  • Prioritizing workflow to ensure customer deadlines are met.
  • Assist in adjusting production schedule based on changing conditions within the manufacturing pipeline such as equipment breakdowns, or delayed material deliveries.
  • Become familiar with the company's manufacturing process, workforce, equipment capabilities, and physical inventories.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the manufacturing and production process through more effective schedule management.
  • Prepare reports outlining production activities and effectiveness, comparing expected output to actual output, and identifying areas for improvement.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Schedule demand based on the product mix and provided accurate lead times to sales department alongside the senior Production Scheduler. 
  • Assemble master schedule reporting regarding performance to the business plan, the shipment plan, the inventory plan, and the production plan
  • Engage in capacity management during sales and operations planning and forecasting
  • Collaborates with purchasing to periodically compare current and anticipated orders with available inventory of raw materials; uses judgment to anticipate demand for and communicate additional supplies needed
  • Integrates sales orders with master schedule; coordinates availability of equipment and staff as needed to meet delivery dates
  • Alerts appropriate staff of master schedule changes or delays
  • Participates in periodic forecasting meetings with sales and other related departments; leads additional planning meetings with sales, purchasing, production, and shipping
  • Assists with capacity requirements during the annual operating plan
  • Sets up and maintains work center and work groups in ERP system
  • Reports on-time delivery
  • Performs other related duties, as required


Requirements

Education and Experience:

Knowledge of scheduling software preferred or experience with similar software platforms. 

Window industry experience is strongly preferred

1-2 years of related experience preferred

Preferred Experience using production planning systems



Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
