About the Role

We’re seeking a Temporary Staff Nurse (RN, LPN/LVN) to provide high-quality clinical care and support for residents in our Assisted Living and Memory Care communities. In this role, you’ll assess resident health status, develop and update care plans, communicate with staff and families, and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards. You’ll foster a safe, compassionate, and engaging environment while supporting the professional growth of the care team. Wednesday - Saturday.

Responsibilities

  • Assess residents’ health upon admission and ongoing changes in condition, and develop or update individualized care plans.
  • Communicate resident needs and changes to the Director, Health and Wellness, staff, and families.
  • Participate in hands-on care and perform specific nursing tasks per residents’ care plans.
  • Train and support care staff to meet continuing education and competency requirements.
  • Transcribe and review physician orders; monitor medication administration and perform MAR reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and local regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, and Bloodborne Pathogen Guidelines.
  • Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives and report issues to leadership.
  • Work safely and model safe practices for staff; correct unsafe actions as needed.
  • Foster teamwork, show initiative, and positively impact coworkers, residents, and visitors.
  • Report any elder maltreatment or abuse in accordance with policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Valid State Nursing License (RN or LPN/LVN); required certifications as mandated by state.
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing or caregiving experience, preferably in Assisted Living or Memory Care.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with human resource rules a plus.
  • Strong clinical assessment skills, conflict resolution, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
  • Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Pleasant, professional, and personable demeanor.
