Job description

BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Document Reviewing Associate for an opportunity in Phoenix, AZ

 

Position Title: Document Reviewing Associate

Location: Local Only — Onsite for training at the Department of Revenue, then remote eligible - Phoenix, AZ

Duration: Temp - 4 months (full-time); initial onsite training estimated 1–2 weeks

Pay Rate: $25/hr (W2)
PRIMARY PURPOSE

We are seeking a Digital Accessibility Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in PDF accessibility remediation, semantic tagging, and standards compliance and a proven ability to deliver documents that meet WCAG 2.1 AA and PDF/UA standards.

 

Responsibilities:

·         Remediate PDFs to achieve WCAG 2.1 AA and PDF/UA compliance.

·         Add and validate tags, headings, lists, tables, and reading order.

·         Provide accurate alternative text and resolve structural issues.

·         Use tools such as Grackle and Adobe Acrobat Pro to ensure assistive technology compatibility.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

·         Eagle-eyed attention to detail and precision in document structure and formatting.

·         Analytical mindset to interpret complex layouts and logical reading order.

·         Software savvy with the ability to learn remediation and workflow tools quickly.

·         Process-driven approach with adherence to compliance rules and project requirements.

·         Experience using business software tools.

 

Preferred Skills:

·         Experience building web pages or knowledge of HTML/CSS, including table headers.

·         Familiarity with Title II of the ADA and WCAG 2.1 Level AA.

·         IAAP CPACC or similar accessibility certification.

·         Hands-on experience with Grackle and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
