Job description

Snelling is currently recruiting for a Manual Machinist for a company in the Trussville area. This is a 1st shift position with a starting pay rate of $27.00-30.00/hr, depending on experience.
Job Responsibilities of Manual Machinist:
  • Machine plates include aluminum, iron & steel.
  • Machine pins to close tolerance.
  • Drilling, tapping and milling.
  • Work from provided detailed manufacturing drawings.
  • Use of manual machine shop equipment such as lathes, drill presses and vertical milling machines.
  • Use of measuring devices such as micrometers, dial indicators and calipers.
Job Requirements for Manual Machinist:
  • Need to have 2-3 years minimum Manual Machinist experience with strong manual lathe required!
  • Need to be comfortable using all types of tools
  • Need to have some forklift and/or overhead crane operating experience
  • Requires a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
