Job description

Title: Temp - Technologist - MRI (Nights) New Lenox, IL
Description:

  • Performs a variety of routine and specialized MRI procedures for inpatients, outpatients and emergency department patients of all ages. Performs assigned supervisory functions. Maintains the standards of ARRT.
  • Demonstrates courteous behavior through polite and respectful communication to all customers and adheres to the 7 customer service behaviors
  • Verifies physician orders for instructions from requesting physician and consults with the radiologists as necessary. Preps patient for exam. Explains procedure and provides education and instruction to patient as appropriate.
  • Adheres to MRI safety standards
  • Performs all magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) studies and administration of contrast media utilizing age related technical and positioning protocols and safety procedures according to department policy and procedure.
  • Assists radiologist with MR procedures as requested.
  • Evaluates MRI images for technical quality
  • Operates and maintains MRI and associated equipment and supplies. Performs equipment warm up, calibration and safety check.
  • Operates hospital computer system. Reports to supervisor any equipment malfunctions.
  • Operates equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines for appropriate quality control.
