Job Title: Solderer Assembler

Job Description

This role focuses on soldering, electronic and mechanical assembly, and the repair of units and module boxes in a dynamic startup technology environment. You will build, troubleshoot, and repair hardware, working closely with engineers to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions on harnesses, printed circuit boards, and software-driven hardware boxes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform precise soldering work on harnesses, printed circuit boards (PCBs), and related electronic components.
  • Build, assemble, and repair units, including modules and enclosure boxes, following technical instructions and quality standards.
  • Carry out mechanical assembly tasks to support the production and repair of hardware units.
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues on units and modules, identifying root causes and implementing effective repairs.
  • Support engineers by assisting with mechanical assembly and repair jobs, including rework and modifications as needed.
  • Troubleshoot and fix problems with software-driven hardware boxes in collaboration with engineering staff.
  • Use cup soldering techniques and heat shrinking to ensure secure and reliable electrical connections.
  • Handle general electronic assembly and production tasks, including loading components and preparing assemblies for test or deployment.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities in a fluid startup environment, taking on different tasks as needed to support the team.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience with soldering, including work on harnesses and printed circuit boards (PCBs).
  • Hands-on experience in electronic assembly and general production assembly.
  • Ability to perform cup soldering to a consistent and reliable standard.
  • Proficiency with heat shrinking techniques for wiring and harness assemblies.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair hardware units and modules.
  • Experience supporting engineers with mechanical assembly and repair work.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and fix issues with software-driven hardware boxes.
  • Comfort working in a startup technology environment with evolving tasks and priorities.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
