Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Maintenance Specialist / Asset Planner to support a facility project focused on building and organizing an Asset Hierarchy database. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, excellent organizational skills, and experience working around industrial equipment or maintenance systems.

The selected candidate will assist with identifying, documenting, and entering detailed equipment information for machinery throughout the facility. This is a short-term contract role estimated at approximately 100 hours, with the potential to transition into a longer-term or full-time opportunity based on business needs and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and organize the facility Asset Hierarchy database
  • Collect and enter equipment data including:
    • Serial numbers
    • Model numbers
    • Manufacturer information
    • Equipment descriptions
    • Asset locations
  • Walk the production floor to identify and verify machinery information
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of maintenance and asset records
  • Work closely with maintenance and operations teams to gather missing information
  • Assist with organizing maintenance documentation and equipment records
  • Support continuous improvement of asset management processes
Qualifications
  • Mechanical aptitude or maintenance background preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial maintenance, facilities, or asset management environments
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working both on the production floor and in computer systems/databases
  • Experience with CMMS, ERP, or asset management systems is a plus
  • Ability to accurately manage large amounts of data entry and documentation
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
