JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are hiring on Exadata Oracle DBA at Chicago, IL on a Full Time/Perm with the following experience and Skills.

Required Skills:

Experience with Oracle 10G and 11G. 

Experience or training on Oracle 12c. 

Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) 10g and 11g 

Experience in Exadata. 

Experience in Real Application Testing. 

ASM 

Data Guard. 

Flash back

High availability

Oracle/ Linux Red Hat / VMware environment

Oracle Streams experience is a plus.

Experience with BMC Patrol, DB Artisan, SQL Backtrack, RMan.

Ability to address Oracle Very Large Database (VLDB) issues, Oracle Partitioning.

Performance analysis and tuning, Oracle and Sybase P&T utilities.

Ability to work within an established Project Development process.

Should be able to work with already established data models and naming conventions.

Knowledge of Linux, UNIX Solaris 8, 10 

The individual should have previous experience with all aspects of designing/implementing Exadata solutions 

Experienced on migrating existing Oracle databases into Exadata Knowledge of different Oracle database migration paths into Exadata Experience in migrating large Oracle databases (OLTP and Data Warehouse) into Exadata 

Software and firmware maintenance of Exadata Storage Cells, including upgrades and patching Software and firmware maintenance of InfiBand switches, including upgrades and patching Provide and implement performance and tuning recommendations of all components in the Database Machines 

Solid Exposure to Exadata Hardware Architecture including Database Grid, Storage Grid and Infiniband Solid Exposure to Exadata Configurations including X2-2, X2-8, full rack, half rack and rack and the latest X3-8 

Solid understanding of key Exadata features including Hybrid Columnar Compression, Exadata Smart Flash Cache, Exadata Storage Index and Exadata Storage Management & Administration
