About the Role
We're seeking a Software Engineer – Conversational AI to join our Customer Engagement team.
You'll design, build, and maintain the cloud infrastructure and REST APIs that power our AI voice
agents while supporting real-time contact center operations, including call routing, lead
management, outbound campaigns, and conversation storage.
What You'll Do
• Design and develop TypeScript AWS Lambda REST APIs for AI voice agents.
• Build and maintain conversational AI agents in ElevenLabs and Zoom Virtual Agent (ZVA).
• Perform prompt engineering, tool definition, and agent optimization.
• Write unit and integration tests following TDD best practices.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK (TypeScript).
• Integrate with Twilio or similar telephony platforms for calls and SMS.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize production systems using CloudWatch.
• Participate in code reviews and architectural decisions.
• Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable APIs and AI
solutions.
What We're Looking For
• Production experience with TypeScript, Node.js, and AWS.
• REST API development using API Gateway or similar technologies.
• Experience with conversational AI platforms (ElevenLabs, ZVA, AWS Lex, Dialogflow, or
similar).
• Prompt engineering and AI agent configuration experience.
• AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, S3, EventBridge, and AWS CDK.
• Experience integrating Twilio or other telephony providers.
• Strong TDD practices using Jest or similar frameworks.
• Knowledge of IAM, secrets management, secure API design, and Git workflows.
• Ability to collaborate in a fast-paced engineering environment.
