Job description

Position Description

Individuals in this position are responsible for managing, supporting, and maintaining operations for hardware, software, telephone, infrastructure, and electronic health management system to ensure reliable functioning, availability, and security of information systems. Provides consultation to field support staff and professional staff.

Position Expectation

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

1. Maintains all aspects of computer hardware, software applications, and phone systems.

2. Prioritizes and provides end-user IT and EHR support by utilizing the agency help desk system

3. Setup network and EHR users

4. Create and monitor help desk, equipment inventory, and EHR reports

5. Procures computer supplies

6. Provides consultation and training to agency staff regarding operation of the IT and EHR system

7. Provides data analysis using EHR business intelligence tool to agency directors, supervisors, and staff

8. Communicates and facilitates the functions of the EHR system to field personnel

9. Manages the proper assignments and maintenance of security rights in EHR system

10. Provides standby duty as assigned

11. This position qualifies for short and long-term telecommuting per policy 100.027 – Telecommuting Guidelines

12. Performs other reasonable and related duties as assigned

Minimum Training and Experience

An associate degree in computer programming, computer science, management information systems (Information Technology), or a closely related course of study, from an accredited college or university; or five (5) years of full-time professional experience in a position which utilized the skills/knowledge acquired during the course of study. Individual must be able to demonstrate proficiency of learned or acquired skills. Proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office applications.

Requires the ability to work independently, make appropriate decisions and to consistently exercise discretion and independent judgment.
