Join us as a **Lead Shipping and Receiving Coordinator**.**Location Type:** *The position is an onsite role based in Ogden, UT.***How You’ll Make an Impact:*** Operational Oversight & Execution* Actively oversee and participate in the movement of materials into, within, and out of the facility to ensure timely and accurate material flow.* Perform all job functions associated with the S/R Specialist role, as needed, to support operational continuity.* Coordinate truckload freight arrangements by developing freight requirements, requesting quotes from approved carriers, analyzing carrier proposals, and scheduling loads.* Partner with Purchasing to create and manage freight-related purchase orders.* Leadership, Training & Mentorship* Support and assist S/R Specialists and other JR team members in resolving logistics-related issues.* Assist in developing training materials for S/R Specialists and Lead S/R Specialist role* Provide hands-on training and guidance to S/R Specialists and other Leads on job responsibilities, procedures, and best practices.* Mentor logistics team members while modeling positive behavior, professionalism, and a strong team-focused attitude.* Continuous Improvement & Lean Initiatives* Participate in and promote Lean and Six Sigma initiatives related to Shipping and Receiving.* Identify opportunities for process improvements that enhance efficiency, safety, accuracy, and throughput.* Support the implementation of standardized work and best practices across logistics operations.* Subject Matter Expertise* Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in one or more of the following areas: international shipping, truckload freight arrangements, information systems (Ops Manager, Job Track, Baan), and material handling equipment usage and safety.* Act as a key point of contact for logistics process knowledge and troubleshooting.* Safety & Equipment Operation* Safely operate overhead cranes, hi-lo (forklift) equipment, and other material handling equipment as required.* Comply with all safety policies, procedures, and OSHA requirements.* Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds on a regular basis as part of daily job duties.Note: *This list of responsibilities is inclusive; however, it is intended to be a guideline for activities.***What You’ll Bring:*** Minimum of three years in a business environment; two or more years of logistics, materials management, or supply chain experience preferred.* Education Requirements – High school diploma, or equivalent experience, calculated as two (2) years of relevant work experience for each year of academic study.
