Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement technology roadmaps that align with business strategies and objectives.
- Collaboration: Work with senior leaders and peers to develop and execute business strategies.
- Customer Engagement: Engage with customers and business partners to align technology roadmaps and foster collaborative relationships.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of technology professionals to achieve product development goals and objectives.
- Product Development: Oversee the optimization, implementation, and execution of technology roadmaps to ensure smooth product development and commercialization.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support to business development teams to win new business opportunities.
- Innovation Management: Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives within the technology team.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and report on the performance of technology initiatives and projects.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field of study.
- 13+ years of experience in technology management or a related field within the Aerospace and Defense industry.
- Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications. In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 17 years of related experience is required.
- Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of one or more of the following disciplines: strategic planning business development, capture management, science and engineering programs, acquisition processes, technical roadmaps, exportable technologies.
- Working knowledge and experience with various technical matters in support of the exportability, technical determination and release of products and services.
- Demonstrated passion for ideation and innovation, as well as motivating others to act by creating a shared sense of vision or purpose.
- Proficiency in emerging technologies and trends including big data, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) with a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
- Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and understand complex technical and program interdependencies.
- Possess a strategic mindset, linking technology and business.
- Demonstrated ability to work with senior business and government leaders and to provide leadership within the workplace.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to clearly express technical concepts in verbal and written forms; ability to tailor conversations to adapt to technical vs. non-technical audiences.
- Extensive experience developing technology and IRaD (Research and Development) roadmaps, and seeing them through to completion.
- An Active Top Secret with SCI Eligibility U.S. Security Clearance is required
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Master's degree or higher in an Engineering or similar field of study.
- Ability to quickly grasp technical concepts and understand complex technical and program interdependencies.
- Relevant technical certifications and understanding of industry standards including MIL Standards, DOD Architecture Framework, Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC), and Modular Open Systems Approach/Sensor Open System Architecture (MOSA/SOSA) open architecture standards.
- Hands-on experience with agile and DevOps practices for technology development and deployment.
- Previous management experience; ability to recruit employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee staffing development and maintenance.
- Demonstrated passion for ideation and innovation, as well as motivating others to act by creating a shared sense of vision or purpose.
- Possess a strategic mindset, linking technology and business.
- Strong track record of engaging with customers to understand their needs and translated them into technical requirements.
- Team oriented with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense (Civilian), and/or US Military, with an understanding of defense, aerospace, intelligence, and adjacent markets.
Essential Functions:
- Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods.
- Regular use of hand/finger dexterity for typing and writing.
- Ability to travel is required.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.
- Capability to work in an office or hybrid environment, adapting to flexible work arrangements.
- Strong mental acuity to analyze and synthesize complex technical and strategic information.
- Ability to communicate effectively and present information to C-suite executives and stakeholders.
