Are you a skilled Industrial Electrician who loves solving problems, taking on new challenges, and keeping complex systems running at their best? Prysmian is looking for a driven, safety-focused professional to join our Marion, IN maintenance team to keep our facility operating at peak performance.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced industrial environment, enjoys hands‑on troubleshooting, and takes pride in maintaining high standards of reliability and production excellence.
What You'll Do
As an Industrial Electrician, you'll take the lead on diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining a wide range of electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment. Your work will directly impact our production uptime and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical & Electronic Systems
  • Diagnose and repair electrical systems up to 460V.
  • Troubleshoot AC/DC motors up to 500 HP.
  • Repair relay-based electrical control systems.
  • Work with PLC Ladder Logic and troubleshoot PLC systems (Allen Bradley required; Siemens is a plus).
  • Troubleshoot and repair motor control drives (Eurotherm, Parker, ABB).
  • Maintain and repair industrial heating systems (resistance-based).
  • Install and start up new industrial machinery.
  • Calibrate and inspect sensors and instrumentation including:
    • Pressure transducers
    • Pneumatic and electrical controllers
    • Level indicators
    • Temperature/pressure transmitters
    • Limit switches and proximity sensors
  • Perform preventative maintenance on production and plant equipment.
  • Maintain high housekeeping and safety standards.
  • Follow schematics, drawings, manuals, and written/verbal instructions to complete work efficiently

Mechanical Systems
  • Diagnose and repair heavy industrial equipment.
  • Replace shafts, bearings, gearboxes, drive chains, belts, and rollers.
  • Perform basic welding on steel (aluminum welding is a plus).
  • Align motors, shafts, machines, and gearboxes.
  • Install and repair plumbing systems (air, water, drain).
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Repair pneumatic and centrifugal pumps, including multi-stage pumps.
  • Support industrial water systems, boilers, and air compressors.

Maintenance & Facility Support
  • Perform preventative maintenance on production and plant equipment.
  • Maintain high housekeeping and safety standards.
  • Follow schematics, drawings, manuals, and written/verbal instructions to complete work efficiently

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 3+ years of experience as an industrial electrician in a manufacturing or plant setting.
  • Strong foundation in electrical systems, power distribution, motors, drives, PLCs, and instrumentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
  • Experience programming or working with PLCs.
  • AS degree in electronics/electricity or equivalent hands‑on experience preferred.
  • Must pass background check and drug screening.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This role requires working in a dynamic, high-volume industrial environment with frequent physical activity. You should be comfortable with:
  • Standing, walking, bending, squatting, and twisting regularly.
  • Lifting and carrying:
    • 10-50 lbs frequently
  • Working in tight, confined spaces with significant dexterity.
  • Lifting and handling large machinery components (up to 10,000 lbs) with assistance/equipment.
  • Climbing and working at heights (no acrophobia).
  • Working rotating or night shifts and overtime as needed.
  • Responding calmly and efficiently to unanticipated issues or production challenges.
