Job Summary:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Construction Projects, the Project Manager is responsible for leading the full lifecycle of construction and modular accommodation projects from concept through completion. This role oversees project planning, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, execution, risk management, and stakeholder engagement to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with design specifications and quality standards.

The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Construction, Supply Chain, Operations, and external stakeholders, while supporting the continued growth and success of Civeo's modular construction and workforce accommodation projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of modular accommodation, infrastructure, and construction projects from concept through completion. 

  • Coordinate project designs, drawings, specifications, permits, and approvals in collaboration with Engineering, Construction, Supply Chain Management (SCM), Operations, and external stakeholders. 

  • Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, forecasts, and resources to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. 

  • Develop and maintain project schedules and milestones, monitor progress, and implement corrective actions as required to meet project objectives. 

  • Administer contracts and change orders, including negotiations, revisions, supplier and subcontractor management, bid evaluations, and contract awards. 

  • Coordinate procurement activities to ensure materials, equipment, and services are sourced and delivered in a timely and cost-effective manner. 

  • Oversee installation activities, including lodge infrastructure, structural systems, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and related construction components. 

  • Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, building codes, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with project and legislative standards. 

  • Maintain project documentation, including budgets, schedules, progress reports, meeting minutes, risk registers, as-built drawings, and change order logs. 

  • Facilitate project kick-off meetings, progress review meetings, stakeholder updates, and project closeout activities. 

  • Collaborate with Construction Managers and field teams to coordinate site activities, client communications, project changes, and final project documentation. 

  • Conduct ongoing risk assessments throughout the project lifecycle and implement mitigation strategies to reduce project risks. 

  • Monitor project performance, productivity, labor utilization, and expenditures to ensure operational and financial efficiency. 

  • Support quality assurance and quality control programs to ensure projects meet Civeo standards and client expectations. 

  • Conduct project audits, implement recommendations, and support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and cost savings. 

  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders while providing exceptional customer service. 

  • Provide support to business development and estimating activities, including bid preparation, project planning, schedule development, and scope reviews. 

  • Champion Civeo's safety culture by promoting compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements at all times. 

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to project teams while fostering a collaborative, solutions-focused work environment. 

  • Maintain regular communication with field operations and provide project support as required at remote and active construction sites.

Qualifications:

  • Management, or a related technical discipline. An equivalent combination of education, trade certification, and relevant experience will be considered. 

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive project management experience within the construction industry, preferably managing modular, commercial, industrial, camp, or infrastructure projects. 

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) designation is considered an asset. 

  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, project controls, procurement, contract administration, risk management, and budgeting. 

  • Thorough understanding of local, provincial, and federal regulations, building codes, workplace compliance requirements, and industry best practices. 

  • Proven ability to analyze project scope, costs, schedules, and overall project performance. 

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software. 

  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and environmental stewardship. 

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. 

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, stakeholder management, and customer service skills. 

  • Effective negotiation, conflict resolution, and problem-solving abilities. 

  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams. 

  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills with the ability to lead meetings, workshops, briefings, and stakeholder discussions. 

  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of working independently and within a collaborative team environment. 

  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory 5-year driver's abstract. 

  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently throughout Western Canada and work at remote project locations for short durations as required.
