Job description

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and technically proficient Project Manager to lead and coordinate projects involving structured cabling, audio/visual systems, and security infrastructure (including access control and surveillance) within the telecom industry. The ideal candidate will manage multiple concurrent projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Manage installation of structured cabling (Cat6, fiber), AV systems (displays, conferencing), and security systems (CCTV, access control).
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (TIA/EIA, NEC, BICSI, etc.).

Budget & Cost Control

  • Prepare and manage project budgets.
  • Track expenses and ensure cost-effective solutions.
  • Approve invoices and change orders.

Client & Stakeholder Communication

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on project status.
  • Manage client expectations and resolve issues proactively.

Quality Assurance & Safety

  • Conduct site inspections and quality checks.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Document and address deficiencies.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate project documentation including drawings, schedules, and close-out packages.
  • Prepare post-project evaluations and lessons learned.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Construction Project Management.
  • Strong background in Structured Cabling and AV installations.
  • Proficiency in project tracking, billing, and resource allocation.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
  • Experience with Blue Beam and other project documentation tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with AIA billing standards.
  • Experience using SiteOwl for AV project tracking.
  • Advanced skills in Blue Beam for markup and collaboration.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
