Job description

Join AZAD Technology Partners as an Electronic Engineer and work in the Facility's Telecommunications Engineering organization. The Telecommunications function provides engineering, design, and field support for the Facility's telecommunication facilities and associated equipment. This includes fiber optics, analog/mobile radio, digital radio, power line carrier, operational telephone, microwave towers and antennas, emergency AC/DC power and UPS (uninterruptible power supply) systems, communications buildings, multiplex equipment, and monitoring systems including alarm system, Fault Locating Acquisition Reporter, microwave monitor, wide area networks used for operational data and network management. This assignment provides professional engineering expertise in assisting the project manager and other engineering personnel in implementing projects - supporting field maintenance crews and operations; and other related engineering activities.
This is a 2 year plus consultant position with high probability of long term and ongoing continued employment. This position is hybrid based in Vancouver, WA with onsite 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). The hourly pay rate for this position (which includes a health and welfare fringe benefit of $5.09) is between $27.07 and $47.09 depending on related qualifications and experience, as well as composition of selected compensation package.
The ideal candidate must possess the minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electronic or Telecommunications Engineering or a directly related field (from an ABET accredited school) is required.
Candidates 3 months from graduation will be considered. Proof of degree may be requested after graduation.
6 months of experience in Telecommunications Engineering or closely related field is required.
Must have knowledge of engineering concepts, principles and practices applicable to components and facilities found on a regional transmission system
Skill in oral and written communication to effectively fulfill client/customer/team requirements
Valid U.S. Driver's License or RealID is required.
Preferred Skills:
Experience or knowledge regarding preliminary engineering, design, and construction of telecommunications or network engineering projects in a utility environment.
Experience or knowledge regarding the review and evaluation of design packages (including drawings, material certifications and submittals for conformance to the design specifications).
Knowledge of backbone infrastructure connectivity including microwave radio and fiber optic telecommunications systems.
