Telecom Tower Technician III

Our Telecommunications Group has been at the forefront of creating a new generation of wireless communication infrastructure for over 40 years. We specialize in everything from network development to complete telecom life cycle solutions. While the wireless world is ever changing, the demand for innovative technology and long-term support services remains constant. These services include site acquisition, design, and construction, to full operations, maintenance, and deconstruction.
Responsibilities

  • Must maintain and enforce the company's safety program, ensure daily job site safety plans are reviewed and followed. Immediately stops work when unsafe work practices or conditions exist.
  • Assist Crew Foreman to ensure quality service to clients
  • Recognize and perform duties within OSHA safety guidelines as well as all applicable safety laws and policies
  • Work effectively both individually and with other crew members
  • Handle transportation of equipment
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned
  • Travel up to 100%

Qualifications

  • Successful completion and passing score of all mandatory company certifications are required
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a tower climber is required
  • Ability to climb, at least, a 250' telecommunications tower required
  • Valid Driver's License is required
  • Technical knowledge of wireless telecommunications products required
  • Current ComTrain or equivalent certification in Tower Climbing Safety and Rescue is required
  • Capable of being entrusted with company assets and confidential information required
  • Willingness to work in hot and cold weather conditions for long periods of time required
  • Anritsu Certification preferred
  • PIM Certification preferred
  • CPR/First Aid Certification preferred
  • NWSA Certification preferred
  • OSHA 10 Hour Certification preferred (Ability to demonstrate knowledge of OSHA safety guidelines)
  • Willingness to take on and learn new tasks, as needed
  • Ability to multi-task in a demanding environment
  • Military communications, electronics troubleshooting, fiber optics or other related construction experience is preferred
  • Ability to work overtime to include Saturdays, Sundays, and evening hours
  • Ability to crouch, kneel, twist, reach, grasp and climb with both hands and legs on a daily basis is required
  • Availability to work overtime to include Saturdays, Sundays and evening hours required
  • Technical knowledge of wireless telecommunications products required
  • Excel, Word and Outlook Microsoft experience preferred

$29 - $31
