About Ridge

Ridge is a privately held wireless infrastructure contractor founded in 1995. We are about 35 people, and we design and build the cellular systems that keep coverage alive inside large buildings and dense venues: distributed antenna systems (DAS), small cell, and in-building wireless. Our customers are the major carriers and their enterprise clients, which means our projects run in stadiums, hospitals, corporate campuses, and financial institution headquarters.

The role

We are adding a Technical Project Manager to own the communication and coordination layer of our largest projects.

This is a coordination and communication role, not a design role and not a field role. You will not be pulling cable or running RF simulations. You will be the person who knows the current state of every large project, who has the answer before it is asked for, and whose status updates people actually read.

What you will own

Customer communication on major projects

• Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for carrier program managers and enterprise customers on our largest deployments
• Own the inbound flow of customer questions: site access and escort arrangements, crew arrival and departure windows, material specifications, schedule commitments, and quote deadlines
• Gather answers internally from engineering, field operations, and estimating, then respond clearly and on time in the customer's preferred format
• Run recurring status calls: set the agenda, capture decisions and action items, publish notes, and track open items to closure
• Acknowledge every customer request quickly, even when the answer is not ready. A same-day "confirming with our engineer, you will have this tomorrow morning" is always better than silence
• Be the routing point for technical questions rather than the source of the answers. You will relay specifications and engineering responses precisely, in both directions, and you will say "let me confirm" rather than improvise
• Extract answers from people who are on job sites, not at desks. That means batching your questions, working a standing check-in window, and being brief and specific when you have someone's attention

Internal project visibility

• Maintain living project plans for long-running installations, so anyone at Ridge can see current status without asking three people
• Work directly with crew leads and field supervisors to capture real progress, blockers, and revised dates, then reflect them in the plan
• Publish a regular internal status summary that leadership and project teams can act on
• Flag slipping dates early, with the specifics and a recommendation, rather than reporting them after the fact

Subcontractor bids and coordination

• Solicit, track, and organize subcontractor bids: build the bid list, distribute scope, chase responses, and assemble comparisons for review
• Keep subcontractor documentation current (insurance, agreements, onboarding, prequalification)
• Coordinate subcontractor schedules against our own crew availability and customer site access windows

Resource planning and scheduling

• Support day-to-day and week-ahead scheduling of crews, equipment, and subcontractors across concurrent projects
• Identify resource conflicts before they become customer-facing problems
• Coordinate the logistics that make a work window happen: site access, escorts, material delivery timing, and off-hours or overnight work when the customer requires it

What we are looking for

Required

• 3+ years managing projects, programs, or delivery in a role where communication and coordination were the core of the job
• Comfort operating as the single point of contact on subjects you are not the expert in. You route questions to the right person, relay the answer accurately, and are secure enough to say "I need to confirm that" to a Fortune 100 customer
• Precision with detail. Specifications, dates, and commitments arrive downstream exactly as they were given to you
• Relentless, organized follow-up. Nothing you are handed goes unanswered or falls off the list, including the items that depend on other people
• Excellent written communication. Concise, organized, and appropriate for a Fortune 100 customer audience
• Genuine comfort chasing people who do not report to you, and the judgment to know when to keep asking and when to escalate
• Strong working fluency with modern project and collaboration tools (we use Notion, Google Workspace, and our own internal operations platform)
• Willingness to occasionally support off-hours coordination when a customer's site can only be accessed at night or on a weekend

Helpful, not required

• Experience in telecom, IT infrastructure, commercial AV, low-voltage, structured cabling, or another field-delivery environment
• Experience working with or inside a large enterprise or carrier program management organization
• Familiarity with purchase orders, change orders, subcontracts, and construction or delivery documentation
