Job Description

At Chandos, our Project Managers are at the heart of everything we build. They take full ownership of their projects - leading teams, managing resources, and ensuring success from start to finish. This role is responsible for delivering projects on time, on budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards, all while maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

What You’ll Do

As a Project Manager, you will:

  • Lead projects through all phases - planning, procurement, execution, and close-out
  • Integrate and champion Chandos systems: Production System, Project Execution Plan, Quality Management, and Health & Safety
  • Support estimating during tenders and oversee the subtrade buy-out process
  • Finalize contracts, optimize purchasing strategies, and manage procurement activities
  • Develop and track detailed project schedules, budgets, and forecasts
  • Oversee subcontractor coordination, RFIs, invoices, change orders, and documentation
  • Ensure quality standards and safe work practices are upheld on site
  • Build strong client relationships and act as the main point of contact for stakeholders
  • Lead, coach, and support project teams while fostering collaboration and accountability
  • Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement effective contingency plans
  • Conduct project reviews to capture lessons learned and improve future performance
Qualifications

What You Bring

  • Must have proven experience managing commercial or institutional construction projects from start to finish with 5 or more years of direct work experience in a project role for a mid-size to large general contractor (GC)
  • Must have experience managing the project from ground up.
  • You possess a post-secondary degree/diploma in engineering or construction management or related discipline (equivalent of education and experience may be considered)
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, budgets, scheduling, and cost control
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Ability to think critically, solve problems, and drive results in a fast-paced environment
  • A collaborative mindset with a focus on safety, quality, and client satisfaction
  • Are flexible in your ability to travel to sites on occasion
