The Field Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing field operations for Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) projects. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with client specifications. The Field Project Manager collaborates closely with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to coordinate execution, remove obstacles, and drive project success.
This position also plays a key role in capturing field change orders, supporting accurate billing, and ensuring revenue opportunities are realized.
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage field crews and subcontractors to ensure efficient project execution

  • Plan, assign, and coordinate work activities across field teams

  • Monitor project budgets and ensure financial targets are maintained

  • Ensure timely and accurate billing, including proper documentation of field changes and additional scope

  • Travel between job sites to monitor progress and ensure adherence to project timelines and client expectations

  • Enforce compliance with all health and safety policies and procedures

  • Provide coaching, guidance, and training to field personnel

  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, municipalities, and stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain project momentum

  • Ensure projects are completed in alignment with contractual requirements and quality standards

  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in telecommunications or utility construction

  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience, preferably in FTTH projects

  • Strong ability to read and interpret utility plans, drawings, and contracts

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills with high attention to detail

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer applications

  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to multiple job sites
