Professional Search Group OC is partnering with a growing and innovative IT organization in Orange County to identify a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Project Coordinator. This individual will play a critical role in coordinating projects, supporting operational workflows, managing telecommunications carrier relationships, and ensuring projects are completed on time and with exceptional customer service.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with telecommunications carriers such as AT&T, Lumen, Spectrum, Cox, Verizon, Comcast, or similar providers, and understand the lifecycle of carrier orders, project coordination, vendor management, and customer communication.


This position serves as the primary point of coordination between internal teams, clients, and telecommunications carriers, ensuring projects move efficiently from kickoff through completion while delivering a seamless customer experience.


Project Coordinator Responsibilities

  • Coordinate multiple projects simultaneously from initiation through completion, ensuring timelines, milestones, and deliverables are achieved.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for telecommunications carrier management, overseeing service orders, moves, adds, changes, disconnects, billing issues, escalations, and account maintenance.
  • Receive project requests from internal sales and operations teams and manage them through the full project lifecycle with exceptional organization and follow-through.
  • Coordinate directly with telecommunications carriers (e.g., AT&T, Lumen, Spectrum, Cox, Verizon, Comcast) to ensure timely service implementation, issue resolution, and account support.
  • Maintain strong relationships with vendors, carriers, clients, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
  • Track project schedules, documentation, risks, action items, and status updates while communicating progress to stakeholders.
  • Support operational and accounting functions including expense reconciliation, commission tracking, variable billing, data entry, and accounts receivable/payable activities.
  • Manage monthly certificate renewals, maintenance agreements, and service renewals to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Coordinate facility-related operational requests and internal communications as needed.
  • Develop and maintain organized project documentation, reporting, and project tracking tools.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, streamline workflows, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Utilize technology and AI tools to improve organization, reporting, communication, and overall project execution.


Project Coordinator Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Project Coordinator, Project Administrator, Operations Coordinator, or similar role.
  • Experience working with telecommunications carriers, telecom operations, carrier account management, or IT/telecommunications projects strongly preferred.
  • Experience coordinating with carriers such as AT&T, Lumen, Spectrum, Cox, Verizon, Comcast, or similar providers highly desired.
  • Strong project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and solutions-oriented with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships, service orders, billing inquiries, and project documentation preferred.
  • Working knowledge of accounting principles with experience supporting billing, expense reconciliation, or reporting functions preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and external partners.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities.
  • Experience with project management software or CRM platforms is a plus.
