We are seeking a Community & Public Relations Manager to support the growth of our Memphis market. In this role, you will strengthen our organization’s reputation and engagement by building meaningful relationships with community members and partners. Location: You will serve the Memphis and the West Tennessee area.

This role may include occasional travel to the Columbia, Missouri headquarters.


What You’ll Do

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead community relations efforts across Memphis and surrounding suburbs, supporting strategic growth initiatives
  • Establish and maintain favorable relationships with city and county commissions, government agencies, HOA organizations, and industry professionals
  • Own the strategy and execution of revenue growth and market expansion initiatives, with clear alignment to business objectives
    • Partner with business development, marketing, and sales teams to identify and pursue growth opportunities
    • Initiate and grow strong relationships with prospective high-value clients
  • ManageMemphis community events
  • Media Relations
    • Represent the company through media interviews, informational webinars, and speaking engagements
    • Collaborate with Socket Fiber’s Marketing Team to shape and execute a cohesive, strategic approach across social, earned media, and press
  • Work closely with leadership to understand competitive environments, business targets, market shifts and opportunities

What We’re Looking For

To be considered for this role, you'll need the following required qualifications:

· 2+ years in a public facing role

· Community outreach experience

· Ability to think strategically while managing detailed execution aligned with company goals
