Job description

Velocity is seeking to hire a TEM Inventory Specialist. Velocity’s Telecom Expense Management (TEM) Inventory Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate, up‑to‑date inventories of telecommunications assets and services—such as circuits, phone numbers (POTS/DID’s), and carrier services—to support cost control, billing accuracy, and operational efficiency within Velocity’s TEM offering. This is a full-time remote opportunity. The shift for this role is M-F 8am-5pm EST. This role reports directly into the Director of TEM.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Inventory Management
  • Maintain a centralized telecom inventory (circuits, phone numbers, devices, carrier services)
  • Ensure inventory data aligns with carrier records and internal systems
  • Perform regular inventory audits and reconciliations
  • Strong understanding of vendor web portals and reporting
Expense Validation
  • Support billing validation by ensuring invoices match active inventory
  • Ensure contract expirations are maintained for all services
  • Provide accurate inventory data to support chargeback models
Carrier amp; Vendor Coordination
Work with carriers and vendors to:
  • Validate service records
  • Resolve inventory discrepancies
Reporting amp; Data Integrity
Produce inventory reports for:
  • Management, TEM Analysts and CSM Team
  • Ensure high data quality within Velocity’s Global Expense Management system
Process amp; Compliance Support
  • Enforce telecom governance and inventory standards
  • Document inventory processes and updates

  • WAN/LAN circuits (MPLS, DIA, broadband, fiber)

Skills amp; Qualifications:
Technical / Functional
  • Telecom lifecycle knowledge (Voice amp; Data)
  • TEM systems and telecom billing fundamentals
  • Inventory reconciliation
  • Excel / reporting tools (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)
Analytical amp; Organizational
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage high‑volume data accurately
