Structural Steel Detailer (On-Site in Kanarraville, UT)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Steel Structure Detailer to support the development and coordination of models and drawings for steel building projects. This role collaborates closely with field teams, fabrication management, and design teams to ensure that all structure details align with the overall project intent, technical requirements, and specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

· Create accurate 3D models of steel buildings using Tekla Structures software, following engineered plans.

· Create shop drawings, erection drawings, and other deliverables based on the model, following BZI’s detailing standard.

· Coordinate details with the fabrication, field, and design teams via RFIs, submittals, and meetings.

· Check models and details for quality, erectability, and accuracy.

· Proactively identify constraints and issues and help develop solutions.

· Track changes to the project scope and schedule and communicate these to the project team.

Preferred Skills and Education:

· Experience with Tekla Structures software. (2+ years preferred)

· Familiarity with AutoCAD or other CAD software is a plus, though we will use Tekla.

· Strong understanding of structural steel and construction workflows.

· Ability to interpret engineering drawings, architectural plans, and technical specifications.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-disciplinary teams.
