Job Title: Tekla Steel Detailer
Location: On-site Employment Type: Full-time Experience Level: Mid-Level / Senior
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Tekla Steel Detailer with experience detailing projects in accordance with AISC standards. The ideal candidate understands structural steel and miscellaneous steel fabrication and erection practices and can produce accurate, constructible steel models and shop drawings that meet project specifications and codes.
Key Responsibilities
โ€ข Create and maintain structural steel and miscellaneous steel models using Tekla Structures.
โ€ข Produce fabrication shop drawings and erection drawings in compliance with AISC, AWS, and ASTM standards.
โ€ข Generate CNC/NC data and material lists for fabrication.
โ€ข Interpret structural and architectural drawings, specifications, and RFIs.
โ€ข Revise models and drawings based on design changes and field conditions.
โ€ข Support fabrication and erection teams throughout the project lifecycle.
โ€ข Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders as required.
Required Qualifications
โ€ข Proven experience as a Steel Detailer / Tekla Detailer.
โ€ข Proficiency in Tekla Structures.
โ€ข Strong working knowledge of AISC, AWS, and relevant ASTM standards.
โ€ข Ability to detail common steel connections (shear, moment, bearing, etc.).
โ€ข Experience producing shop and erection drawings for fabricators and erectors.
โ€ข Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management.
Preferred Qualifications
