Job description

Responsibilities include:

• Preparing lesson plans and instructing adults in ESL courses

• Monitoring student performance

• Advising students on progress

• Administering written and oral exams

• Taking student attendance

• Grading exams

• Other duties as directed

Requirements (Candidates must have):

• Bachelors degree in Education, Communication, or any related field

• 1 year of ESL adult teaching experience in a classroom setting (tutoring and volunteer work does not meet this requirement) or

• Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESL/CELTA/TESOL/TEFL/similar certificate); (Master’s degree in TESOL highly preferred)

Zoni is an English school with campuses in the United States, New York: Manhattan, Brooklyn, Jackson Heights, Flushing, Hempstead and New Jersey: West New York, Elizabeth, Passaic, Newark, and Florida: Orlando and Tampa and its partner schools in the UK and Canada. In total, we have 14 language centers in amazing destinations. At Zoni, we offer a range of Intensive English Programs and standard English courses including practical, everyday English. Regardless of your English level, we have a class for you. We provide excellent service to our students, administrative support to our offices, providing information and responding to inquiries from students, teachers, staff, and visitors. We work collaboratively with various teams within the organization.
