Certified Recreational Therapist Program Supervisor

Valle Vista Hospital:

Since 1983, Valle Vista Health System, a 132-bed facility located in Greenwood, Indiana, has been providing high-quality behavioral health care to the community. We offer care for a broad range of psychiatric and addiction disorders. We provide care to adults, and for patients as young as age five. Our programs include inpatient, outpatient and medication-assisted treatment for adults, and residential and inpatient treatment for children and adolescents. These programs are designed to help adults, children and teens learn the necessary skills to regain confidence, heal and successfully function at home, work, school and in their communities.

Position Summary:

The Certified Recreational Therapist Program Supervisor oversees the Skills/Rec therapy department and ensures that the team is trained and empowered to deliver services to the acute and residential patients, while also serving as a part of the interdisciplinary treatment team. The Supervisor is responsible for developing and coordinating the unit schedules. The supervisor monitors that all groups are occurring as required by regulatory requirements through supervision, training, and data collection/assessment.

Hours:Monday - Friday 8:00am 4:30pm (occasional weekends for special events)

Location: 898 East Main Street, Greenwood, Indian 46143

* Sign On Bonus - $8,000.00

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Education/Licensure: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, education, criminal justice or other social service or therapeutic discipline. Must be a Certified Therapeutic Recreational Thrapist..

Experience: Three to five years related work experience, with knowledge of psychiatric and/or substance use disorder patient care techniques. Proficiency utilizing office systems such as Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Requirements: Experience with group facilitation or education.
