The Teen Academy program is a summer work + internship program which began in 2016 at the IHG Army Hotel in Joint Force Base San Antonio. In 2017, other IHG Army Hotels took notice, and a portfolio-wide program was born.
At Intercontinental Hotels Group, we own, operate and franchise more than 7000 hotels, offering to over a million guest rooms in over 100 countries. By bringing your expertise and passion to any one of our brands, you will help us achieve our vision: to be the preferred, admired, and successful hotel company the world over.

• Provides teens with skills development and real experience working in a hotel.
• Helps develop a strong work ethic while providing a rewarding summer experience.

• Hospitality is not only for work, but for a strong and healthy lifestyle.
• Builds appreciation for hard working parents and/or other relatives that work to provide for the family.
• Teen Academy is designed as an 8 to10 Week Program (depending on school district and applicable local laws)
• The Program takes place during summer months only when school is out.
Unless otherwise required by law, participating teens may NOT work more than 40 hours per week, work more than 8 hours/days, 5 days/week or work overtime. [Program duration may vary depending on local school schedules.]
Core program hours: 0800 - 1600, Monday - Friday.
Qualifications:
• Ages 14-17, subject to federal, state, and local labor laws.
• Each teen should be willing to learn different job duties including Room Attendant, Houseperson, Laundry Attendant, and Breakfast Attendant. *
• Must have transportation and be able to gain access to the post.
• Must have any legally required permits
* Subject to state occupational work requirements for minors.
The hourly pay range for this role is $16.56 to $19.99 We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision, insurance, 401k, and many other benefits to eligible employees.
