Job description

Job Title: Nurse (LPN)
Location: Leesburg, VA (On-Site) - Will be required to travel to other locations if business needs arise.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 2:30pm-11pm. Includes rotating weekends, and when working a rotating weekend, you will have two days off during the week to maintain a 5-day work week.
Compensation: $32.00 – $35.00 per hour

*This position is eligible for a $1000 bonus contingent on the successful completion of the ninety (90) day introductory period and ability to achieve LPN/LVN licensure in California and Minnesota with help from us.

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse to join our clinical team at Mission Prep. As our nurse, you’ll work closely with our multidisciplinary team to support the medical and emotional needs of our adolescent clients. You will be responsible for a range of essential nursing duties and will play a vital role in fostering a safe and supportive therapeutic environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated nurse who is passionate about mental health and adolescent care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and document patient conditions, reporting changes or concerns to medical staff

  • Administer prescribed medications and maintain accurate medication logs

  • Record and monitor vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and respiration

  • Support clients with basic healthcare needs and assist with medical assessments

  • Sterilize equipment and maintain proper infection control practices

  • Participate in treatment planning and interdisciplinary care discussions

  • Maintain complete and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)

  • Conduct medical chart audits to ensure accuracy and compliance

  • Schedule and track medical appointments, referrals, and follow-ups

  • Requisition and manage medical supplies and inventory

  • Ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards, including medication management and infection prevention

  • Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards in all patient interactions

Qualifications and Skills
  • Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Virginia

  • Knowledge of medical and clinical terminology, especially related to behavioral health

  • Strong critical thinking, communication, and multi-tasking abilities

  • Proficiency in documentation and EHR systems

  • Familiarity with Joint Commission standards is a plus

  • Must pass background checks including DOJ/FBI Fieldprint and clearance through the Virginia Department of Social Services
