Job description

The Opportunity

Good Inside is seeking a Senior Editor & Vertical Lead, Tween & Teen to shape how we support parents navigating one of the most nuanced and high-impact stages of parenting.

In this role, you'll own the editorial direction and content output for the Teen vertical; what gets made, for whom, and when, while partnering closely with our Teen Expert, Dr. Sheryl. Together, you'll bring content to life across the app, social, audio, and live event experiences. You'll write, produce, and edit content in a hands-on execution role.

This is a hybrid role and requiresย  3 days per week in our Midtown Manhattan office.ย 

What You'll Own

Vertical Strategy

  • Define what Teen content gets made, for whom, and when, and make sure it gets made well.
  • Partner with Dr. Sheryl and Content Leadership to shape the editorial vision and content strategy for tween and teen audiences.

Expert Partnership

  • Serve as Dr. Sheryl's primary content partner, translating expertise into compelling content, and driving execution across the Good Inside ecosystem.

Content Production

  • Write, edit, and produce tween and teen content for the Good Inside app, including written content, video, and live events.
  • Oversee how Teen content integrates into the Good Inside product.
  • Collaborate with Product on what's needed and when; bring a clear editorial point of view to those conversations.
  • Develop and produce off-platform content in close partnership with the Social team, bringing editorial judgment to what gets made and how it shows up.

Audience Growth & Performance

  • Grow reach for Teen on social and identify opportunities to expand the audience and deepen engagement.
  • Use audience insights, engagement data, and member feedback to continuously strengthen the Teen offering.

  • You know how to translate expert-driven insights into clear, compelling, and useful content and have experience working closely with founders, talent, or subject-matter experts.
  • You take editorial ownership seriously.ย  You track what's working, push to improve it, and don't wait to be told what to make next.
  • You're highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities and drive projects from idea to execution.
  • You're an avid consumer of social content across platforms. You follow creators, notice what works, and can articulate how to bring new ideas into our strategy.
  • You're deeply curious about the tween and teen years and passionate about supporting parents through one of the most nuanced stages of parenting.
