Job description

Location: Palm Harbor, FL

Job Type: Full-Time | On-Site

Local Travel: Tampa Bay Area

Experience: 3โ€“5+ years of professional IT experience

About YourSIP IT Services

YourSIP IT Services is a locally owned Managed Service Provider based in Palm Harbor, Florida. We support businesses throughout the Tampa Bay area with managed IT, Microsoft 365, networking, cybersecurity, VoIP, and ongoing technical support.

We are looking for an experienced IT Technician โ€“ Managed Services to join our team. This position is ideal for a technician with several years of hands-on IT experience who has worked in an MSP or multi-client environment and is comfortable taking ownership of technical issues from start to finish.

This is a hands-on, client-facing position that combines remote technical support from our Palm Harbor office with local onsite support and project work.

About the Role

You will support multiple businesses and technology environments, providing remote support from our Palm Harbor office as well as onsite support throughout the Tampa Bay area.

You should be comfortable receiving a problem without a step-by-step playbook, determining the root cause, developing a solution, implementing it, documenting your work, and communicating the outcome to the client.

Because you will work across multiple client environments, adaptability and strong troubleshooting skills are critical. We are looking for someone who can work independently, think holistically about technology environments, and take ownership of issues through resolution.

This is a hands-on, client-facing technical role and is not a basic helpdesk or call-center position.

What You'll Do

  • Provide technical support across multiple client environments
  • Take ownership of issues from investigation through resolution, documentation, and client communication
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex workstation, application, server, and user issues
  • Diagnose and resolve network and connectivity issues, including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPNs, VLANs, wired and wireless networks
  • Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot firewalls, switches, and Wi-Fi infrastructure
  • Provide Microsoft 365 administration and troubleshooting beyond basic user creation and password resets
  • Support Active Directory, Group Policy, file permissions, user access, and Windows Server environments
  • Investigate recurring issues and identify the underlying cause rather than simply addressing the immediate symptom
  • Participate in client projects including onboarding/offboarding, migrations, network deployments, system upgrades, cleanups, and environment improvements
  • Perform onsite client visits throughout the Tampa Bay area for support and project work
  • Communicate directly with clients regarding technical issues, solutions, and project work
  • Maintain accurate and thorough ticket documentation
  • Collaborate with teammates and assist with escalated technical issues when needed
  • Manage multiple tickets, users, systems, and client environments while maintaining strong follow-through

Required Qualifications

  • 3โ€“5+ years of professional IT experience
  • Previous experience working in an MSP or multi-client IT environment is required
  • Experience supporting multiple businesses, users, and technology environments
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving issues beyond basic Level 1 helpdesk support
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to independently diagnose and resolve technical issues
  • Solid understanding of networking, including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPNs, VLANs, wired and wireless networking
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration and troubleshooting
  • Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory
  • Comfortable working directly with clients and non-technical users
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and client environments
  • Strong documentation and follow-through

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with PSA and RMM platforms
  • Firewall, switching, and Wi-Fi deployment experience
  • Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD
  • Group Policy
  • Cybersecurity, endpoint protection, backup, or network security solutions
  • Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco, or other relevant technical certifications
  • Experience participating in client infrastructure projects and deployments

What We're Looking For

The right person for this role enjoys solving problems and takes ownership of their work. You should be comfortable working with different client environments, investigating issues that may not have an obvious answer, and communicating solutions clearly to both clients and teammates.

We value technicians who look beyond the immediate issue to understand the larger environment and identify ways to improve reliability, security, and the overall client experience.

You don't need to know every technology we use on day one, but you should have a strong technical foundation and the ability to research, troubleshoot, and work through unfamiliar issues independently.

Work Environment & Requirements

  • Full-time, 5 days per week
  • Work from our Palm Harbor, FL office
  • Local travel to client sites throughout the Tampa Bay area
  • Employee-provided vehicle required for client travel
  • Clean driving record required
  • Occasional after-hours work or on-call rotation
  • Must be local to the Greater Tampa Bay Area
  • This is not a remote position

What We Offer

  • Competitive Pay
  • PTO & Paid holidays
  • Technical certification assistance
  • Hands-on experience across a variety of client environments
  • Exposure to Microsoft, networking, security, and infrastructure technologies
  • Collaborative team environment
  • Opportunities to participate in client projects and technology improvements

Who This Role Is For

This role is a good fit for an experienced MSP technician who enjoys working directly with users and clients, solving technical problems, and understanding how different systems work together.

If you have several years of hands-on IT experience in an MSP or multi-client environment and are comfortable taking a problem from initial troubleshooting through final resolution, we would like to hear from you.

Base pay range
