Job Description: I. POSITION SUMMARY A. Responsible for the administration, maintenance, security, and continuous improvement of the company's endpoint management, infrastructure operations, backup systems, and server environments, while serving as a technical lead for Microsoft Configuration Manager (MCM/MECM/SCCM), Veeam backup administration, and systems support. This position works closely with IT Solution Architects to implement and administer systems. II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (The section is not intended to be an all-inclusive list and NGK Ceramics reserves the right to include other duties as assigned): A. Administrator and support of Microsoft Configuration Manager (MCM/MECM/SCCM) for device deployment, compliance, and imaging, including Group Policy and PC and server patching. B. Manage and monitor daily backup operations for servers, applications, and critical business systems and administer and support VEEAM Backup environment and participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and audit activities C. Support Active Directory administration and user account management as well as assist with server administration and maintenance activities, including assisting with infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and maintenance projects. D. Maintain technical procedures, standards, and operational documentation as well as developing new ones. Act as a senior technical resource for the above names systems. E. Monitors system/network systematically and takes necessary actions to ensure efficient and continuous service F. Implements upgrades and changes to systems/networks so that systems are improved with minimum disruption to service G. Completes required documentation that is in accordance with departmental and ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) standards to enable systems to be supported, maintained and effectively utilized. III. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES The IT Solution Analyst has no supervisory responsibilities. IV. V. REQUIRED AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS A. Education and/or Experience Required: 1. High School diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED (General Educational Development) or HSE (High School Equivalency). 2. CRC Bronze or above if no degree passed high school/GED. 3. 5+ years of experience managing Microsoft Configuration Manager (MCM/MECM/SCCM). 4. 5+ years of experience managing Microsoft Group Policy (GPO) administration and Active Directory. 5. 5+ years of experience with Windows Server administration and enterprise desktop management. 6. 5+ years of experience supporting VEEAM Backup & Replication and disaster recovery operations. 7. 5+ years of experience with VMware vSphere environments. 8. Solid grounding in IT systems, including an understanding of IT theory and principles. 9. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 10. ITIL literate. Preferred: 1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science or Information Systems or extensive related IT Experience. 2. Experience working in a manufacturing environment. B. Language Skills 1. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, or technical procedures. 2. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. 3. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers. C. Mathematical Skills 1. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to interpret various graphs. D. Reasoning Ability 1. Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of practical problems. 2. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. E. Computer and Technical Skills 1. An up-to-date knowledge of a core operating system – including Windows and LINUX. 2. Understanding of the latest developments in the core operating system and related technologies. VI. PHYSICAL DEMANDS (The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions and will be determined on a case by case basis): Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time while inventorying equipment, tracking hardware cables, or working at sitting down and/or standing server consoles up to 8 or more hours per day. Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds independently. This includes moving server chassis, network switches, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and bulk cabling equipment. C. Frequent bending, crawling, crouching, stooping, and kneeling to access under-floor wiring, tight server racks, and low-clearance spaces. D. Ability to climb ladders or step stools and safely reach overhead to route cables, mount equipment, or service overhead tray systems. E. Ability to reach with hands and arms and use hands to finger, handle, type or feel computer keyboard while using fine motor skills and manual dexterity to handle delicate computer components, small screws, fiber optic connectors, and precision tools. F. Close visual acuity to view computer monitors for extended periods, read technical schematics, analyze complex code, and distinguish color-coded network cabling or hardware indicator lights. G. Corrected or normal 20/20 vision required to inspect micro-components, read small serial numbers, and safely operate computer hardware and software. H. Ability to hear and discern audio cues, such as server room equipment alarms, system error beeps, or changes in cooling fan pitches that signal hardware failure. I. Strong capability to listen attentively, synthesize technical issues described by non-technical staff, and gather critical details during system troubleshooting or outage triage. J. Ability to clearly speak, explain complex technical solutions, and collaborate effectively with team members, remote vendors, and company vendors. VII. WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. C. Comfort working in specialized server room environments, which are strictly temperature-controlled (cooler) and generate continuous, loud ambient fan noise and/or high temperature environment within the plant when working on computers. VIII. SAFETY REQUIREMENTS/PPE A. Safety shoes must be worn while on NGK property. B. PPE is not normally required while performing the duties of this job; however, when not in office area or break/restroom areas-safety glasses must be worn at all times on the plant floor. IX.
