Position: Technology Experience Coach
Department: Strategy
Reporting to: Director of Tech Path
Location: Topeka, KS - Onsite
Overview:
The Technology Experience Coach will serve as an advisor-facing coach, helping independent financial advisors and their staff adopt and fully leverage Advisors Excelโ€™s integrated technology stack. Coaches will develop a broad understanding of the entire Tech Path technology suiteโ€”helping advisors understand each toolโ€™s purpose, use cases, and available integrations. This role goes beyond trainingโ€”it is about proactive coaching, simplification, and creating โ€œwowโ€ experiences that make technology intuitive, impactful, and valuable for advisors.
The Technology Experience Coach will also collaborate with Product Owners, internal partners, and external vendors to deliver best practices, resources, and ongoing support that maximize technology adoption and deliver measurable results for advisors and their businesses.
What youโ€™ll do:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all Tech Path tools, developing and maintaining a broad understanding of each platformโ€”including its purpose, core use cases, and integrationsโ€”and guiding advisors or connecting them with appropriate resources for deeper technical support or training.
  • Proactively coach advisors and their staff on technology adoption, best practices, and strategies that enhance efficiency and client experience.
  • Create, maintain, and update training resources, step-by-step guides, and playbooks for virtual, online, and in-person learning.
  • Partner with Product Owners to provide advisor feedback, test improvements, and inform platform roadmaps.
  • Track usage and adoption metrics; engage with offices at risk of under-utilizing tools and develop tailored action plans.
  • Showcase AEโ€™s technology value in recruiting, retention, and growth conversations with top advisor offices.
  • Collaborate with AE teams across Technology, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to align coaching with firm-wide initiatives.
Experience youโ€™ll bring:
  • Experience working in the financial services industry (RIA, Broker-Dealer, or related).
  • Familiarity with financial services technology platforms and CRM systems, including Salesforce, Wealthbox, Zocks, Snappy Kraken, Retirement Analyzer, AE Portal, Firelight, and Daily Business Resource; demonstrated ability to quickly learn new tools.
  • Strong coaching, teaching, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to simplify complex technology concepts for advisor audiences.
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills, with confidence in both virtual and in-person settings.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a solutions-focused mindset.
