The Opportunity:

Tetra Tech is seeking professional, motivated, and intelligent candidates to fill a Project Manager/Office Manager position in Guam to support Tetra Tech's current and future work in the Indo-Pacific region, primarily for U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and related clients.  This is a seller-doer position that will require the successful candidate to support strategic planning, business development, capture, and project execution of contracts throughout the Indo-Pacific region.

Responsibilities:

       Develop new client accounts and work with existing Tetra Tech account managers and market sector leaders to expand the client base.

       Prepare proposals, support projects, and perform technical work as necessary, balancing sales and utilization.

       Develop and implement growth strategies to increase client base for a broad range of integrated services including environmental, climate change, resiliency, planning, engineering, munitions, geospatial, and construction management services.

       Identify, develop, and nurture strategic partnerships with other businesses to support DoD programs in the region.

       Provide local knowledge, leadership, and subject matter expertise in an area of focus to support projects and client needs.

       Meet with key clients and potential clients to share Tetra Tech's capabilities and foster stronger client relationships. Grow trust in the brand with key clients and potential clients.

       Work collaboratively with other experts in numerous locations across Tetra Tech's broad geography in the Pacific Region.

       Other duties may be assigned.

 Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.        Professional registration (PE, RA, PG, PMP, etc) is preferred.

       Knowledge of the US Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, or other US Federal organizations is required.

       Knowledge and experience working with governmental organizations and decision-makers in the Indo-Pacific region is required.

       DOD Security Clearance or ability to obtain a security clearance is preferred.

       Experience interacting with senior DoD and regional governmental leaders is preferred. 

Education & Experience: 

       Bachelor's degree in engineering, science or a related field is required, Master's degree is preferred. 

       Ten (10) years of experience supporting architecture/engineering/construction industry and execution of projects within the Pacific Region.

       5+ years project management experience is preferred.

       3+ years experience with business development, strategic planning, and proposal writing is preferred.

The position typically performs work in an office environment.  However, occasionally travel and onsite work maybe required which could require lifting 25 pounds of documents or equipment, traversing uneven terrain during site visits, standing long periods of time at public meetings.

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  This work is principally performed in an office environment.  That can be work from a home office or in a Tetra Tech office.  However, there are occasional requirements to make site visits to client sites.  This requires the ability to perform work in an office environment or outdoors while conducting data gathering site visits, participating in on-site meetings, and attending conferences or other training and business development activities off-site.

Language & Communication Skills:

       Must be fluent in the English language, reading, writing, and speaking.

       Must possess excellent writing capabilities and have experience generating proposals/project deliverables suitable for submittal to clients.

       Is expected to make verbal presentations including corporate qualification, short list interviews with clients, and strategic plans to corporate stakeholders. 

Other Skills: 

Fluency with computer software including knowledge of primary Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, TEAMS, and Outlook) is required.
