JOB SUMMARY
The Monitor Tech under the supervision of the Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse must be able to work in a fast paced, high sensory stimulating environment. The Monitor Tech must demonstrate willingness to assume responsibility for the efficient and effective delivery of clerical services in the telemetry nursing areas. Knowledge and compliance of hospital policies and procedures are required. The primary function of the Monitor Tech is to monitor telemetry status of each monitored patients and communicated dysrhythmias to the nursing staff. A proctored telemetry EKG and rhythm exam with a pass rate is required upon competition of orientation.

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
