Job description

Definition This is an entry-level, professional staff, part-time position in the Development Services Department. An individual in this position will assist in providing technical assistance to the Planning division. Reporting Relationship: Senior Planner Examples of Work Provide effective, efficient and responsive customer service by assisting walk-in customers; Receive, input, and process new plan and permit applications; Schedule and prepare pre-development and pre-application meeting conferences; Attend meetings as scheduled; Perform other related duties as assigned; Subject to 24-hour recall.

Education, Experience, or Certification High School Diploma, General Education Development (GED) certificate, associate's degree or higher is required along with current or recent enrollment in urban planning, construction management, or a closely related field at an accredited college or university Supplemental Information The Department of Human Resources & Organizational Development may consider an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
