Job description

Job Summary:
The Regional Asset Technology Manager is responsible for managing asset-related software and devices for vehicles and construction/mining equipment, as well as providing support for asset management systems information.
This is an onsite position in our Tangent, OR office.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Order telematics and IOT devices for construction vehicles and equipment, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and troubleshoot fleet telematics devices and software, providing technical support and training to minimize interruptions.
  • Analyze and interpret the fleet telematics data, using various tools and methods, to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare and present reports highlighting key findings and recommendations to local leadership and operations teams to improve uptime.
  • Collaborate with the corporate and operation teams on data integration and management into ERP system.
  • Manage relationships with technology vendors ensuring that contracted services meet expectations.
  • Maintain licensing for diagnostic software to support shop operations.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of fuel management systems for fleet vehicles and equipment, ensuring accurate tracking of fuel usage.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments and best practices in the field of asset management to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our asset management program.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • At least five years in managing fleet technology systems, preferably in construction or mining industries.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Proficient in the use of telematics devices and software, such as Geotab, Samsara, Verizon Connect, VisionLink, and JD Link.
  • Working knowledge of the function, operation, and maintenance of construction equipment.
  • Understanding and experience with ERP systems to manage assets.
  • Skilled in data analysis and visualization, using tools such as Excel and Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Team player, who can operate effectively within a matrix management environment
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a customer-oriented and results-driven mindset.
