This is your opportunity to play a handson technical role in shaping Manitoba's municipal infrastructure. As a Municipal Engineer / Technologist, you will contribute directly to the planning, design, and delivery of water, wastewater, drainage, and roadway systems that support resilient, sustainable communities.

This role is ideal for a technically strong professional who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges and seeing their designs come to life in the field.

Your Impact

  • Apply sound engineering judgement to the technical design and delivery of municipal water, wastewater, stormwater, and roadway infrastructure.
  • Prepare and review engineering designs, drawings, specifications, and technical reports in accordance with municipal and provincial standards.
  • Support projects through detailed design and construction administration, ensuring quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct technical analysis and calculations for civil systems, including water distribution, sanitary sewers, stormwater management, and roadworks.
  • Collaborate with engineers, technologists, and specialists across regional and national teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Contribute to field reviews, inspections, and coordination with contractors during construction.
  • Support knowledge sharing and provide technical guidance to junior staff as part of a collaborative team environment.

  • Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or C.E.T. designation, or eligibility to obtain, is considered an asset.
  • 5-8 years of handson technical experience in municipal infrastructure design and delivery.
  • Strong technical proficiency in water supply, sanitary sewer, stormwater, and roadway design.
  • Experience working within Manitoba's municipal engineering environment, including applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Working knowledge of civil design software and tools used for municipal infrastructure projects.

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $89,900 - $118,900
MB & ON: $81,900 - $112,800
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $81,100 - $107,700
