Job description

We are currently seeking experienced Market Access Lawyersย to work with leading pharmaceutical companies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide proactive, businessoriented legal and compliance advice onย market access, pricing, and reimbursementย strategies for pharmaceutical and biologic products.
  • Advise onย government pricing and reportingย (e.g., Medicaid Best Price, AMP, ASP, 340B, VA/FSS) and the impact of commercial contracting strategies on those obligations.
  • Supportย coverage, coding, and reimbursementย initiatives with market access, HEOR, trade/channel, and pricing teams.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on a broad range ofย market access-related agreements, including:
    • PBM, payer, and GPO agreements
    • Wholesaler, specialty pharmacy, and distribution agreements
    • Discount, rebate, and valuebased/outcomesbased contracts
    • Consulting, advisory board, master services, and datasharing agreements related to market access activities
  • Counsel on the design and implementation ofย patient support programs, copay assistance, and related arrangements, with attention to antikickback and False Claims Act risk.
  • Partner with commercial, medical, regulatory, and compliance teams to ensure thatย accessrelated strategies, communications, and materialsย comply with applicable laws, regulations, and industry codes.
  • Stay current onย U.S. federal and state laws, regulations, and enforcement trendsย impacting market access, pricing, reimbursement, and interactions with payers, PBMs, and health care professionals.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of experience as an attorney in a law firm and/or inhouse with aย pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical company, with a significant focus onย market access, pricing, reimbursement, and/or government price reporting.
  • Experience drafting and negotiatingย PBM, payer, GPO, wholesaler, rebate, and other market access-related agreements.
  • Prior experience counseling on legal issues relating toย advertising and promotion, scientific exchange, patient support programs, and interactions with health care professionals and payers.
  • Strong knowledge of, and experience advising on, statutes, regulations, and guidance applicable to commercial and market access activities, including:
    • FDCA and FDA regulations and guidance
    • Federal and state antikickback statutes and beneficiary inducement rules
    • OIG guidance documents and advisory opinions
    • False Claims Act
    • PhRMA Code and relevant industry standards
  • Demonstrated ability toย translate complex regulatory requirements into practical, riskbased contracting and access strategies.
  • Efficient multitasker with strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work independently andย crossfunctionallyย with market access, commercial, medical, regulatory, compliance, and finance teams.
  • Positive, solutionsoriented mentality and willingness to tackle new and evolving business needs in a fastpaced environment.
  • Licensed and in good standing to practice law in your state of primary residence.

Compensation:ย 

The estimated total compensation for full-time Axiom attorney roles is $104,500-325,000 perย yearย and for non-attorney roles is $71,250-309,750 per year.ย Compensation decisions are based onย various factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skills, certifications, location, and business needs.ย ย Employees may be eligible forย additionalย benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance; paid holidays and PTO; flexible work arrangements; and professional development opportunities and tools.ย
