We are looking for a collaborative and inquisitive Senior Manager, Integration Platformto join our Software Engineering department. You are a hands-on technology leader with deep expertise in enterprise integration and cloud technologies, equally comfortable leading teams, engaging stakeholders, driving technical architecture discussions, and contributing to solution delivery. You thrive in dynamic environments and can seamlessly balance multiple priorities to deliver business value.

What you'll do

  • Lead and mentor a team of developers (frontend + backend), fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment proficiently.

  • Provide bothpeople leadership and hands-on technical leadership, remaining actively involved in solution design, development, troubleshooting, and delivery as needed.

  • Lead the building, implementation, and evolution of enterprise integration solutions following Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP) and modern architectural guidelines.

  • Drive the development and deployment of scalable, cloud-native solutions using Spring Boot, microservices, and AWS technologies.

  • Oversee project delivery to ensure the successful implementation of new business capabilities and strategic technology initiatives.

  • Collaborate closely with business partners, project delivery teams, and enterprise architects to ensure alignment between business objectives and technical solutions.

  • Act as a trusted technical advisor, facilitating discussions across business, delivery, and architecture teams and effectively communicating integration strategies, technical constraints, dependencies, and platform capabilities.

  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, architectural leadership, and sound design recommendations to engineering teams.

  • Conduct code reviews and ensure alignment with coding standards, security requirements, and architectural principles.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical, operational, and architectural documentation.

  • Manage monthly development releases for business-critical digital applications and services.

  • Establish and maintain operational runbooks and support processes to ensure solution reliability and operational excellence.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of progressive software development experience, including leadership responsibilities.

  • Proven experience leading engineering teams while remaining actively involved in technical solution delivery.

  • Strong expertise inEnterprise Integration Patterns (EIP), API integrations, messaging solutions, and enterprise-scale integration architectures.

  • Advanced hands-on experience withJava and Spring Boot, including microservices-based architecture.

  • Strong experience designing, developing, and deploying solutions withinAWScloud environments.

  • Strong technical skills in object-oriented programming, relational databases, and NoSQL databases.

  • Experience with Angular, Oracle, MongoDB, or similar technologies is considered an asset.

  • Strong experience working in Agile delivery environments.

  • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.

  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for business and non-technical audiences.

  • Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with business leaders, project delivery teams, and enterprise architecture stakeholders.

  • Insurance industry experience is an asset.

  • The salary band for this position ranges from $145,000 to $165,000. Please note that individual salary is determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience, as well as internal equity.
