Job Description

The Senior Analyst, Application Integration, delivers application integration solutions that support the operations and scalability of our Brookfield Wealth Solutions and Brookfield Credit business areas. The role is accountable for design, implementation and operational excellence of the associated SaaS application integrations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement and support integration solutions leveraging Application Engineering experience and knowledge of the Insurance and Asset Management business domains

  • Ensure adherence to IT General Controls, security, and data governance standards

  • Perform after-hours L3 support of incident escalations received from L1/L2 Business Systems Analyst team.

  • Deliver continuous improvement through automation, solution optimization, and root cause analysis for any medium to high priority incidents.

  • Identify and implement improvement and optimization opportunities of existing application integration pipelines to proactively minimize business impact.

  • Participate in projects such as migration initiatives of BWS Operating company solutions to Brookfield Cloud environment, ensuring consistent solution design, optimal performance, and scalability.

  • Partner closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and formulate application solutions that address business needs.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure application integration delivery in alignment with broader Architecture, SDLC, ITIL, Cyber and tooling standards.

  • Communicate application solution design to technical and non-technical audiences.

Key Deliverables

  • Scalable, secure, and high-performing application integrations

  • Solution architecture artifacts (diagrams, interface inventories)

  • Reliable production systems meeting SLA/SLI targets

  • Timely resolution of incidents and vulnerabilities

  • Successful & timely delivery of engineering initiatives

  • RCA (Root Cause Analysis) system improvements within agreed timelines

  • Security vulnerability remediation tasks completed within agreed timelines

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Management, Data Analytics or related discipline.

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in application engineering with significant exposure to data platforms such as Snowflake or other similar platforms with specialization in the Asset Management or Insurance industry.

  • Experience with Investment management & Insurance business domains, specifically in terms of application integration and data models across Public and Private asset classes

Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with Investment Management applications such as Aladdin/ADC, Clearwater/LPX, WSO and Numerix (or other similar platforms).

  • Proven expertise in ETL/ELT, data integration concepts with exposure to Python, Streamlit, REST API, SQL, XML, JSON, CSV.

  • Hands-on experience with data orchestration, warehouse and workflow management using tools such as Workato and Snowflake (or similar platforms).

  • Practical experience applying modern data frameworks (e.g. Medallion Architecture) to ensure structured and efficient integrations

  • Experience in source code management and continuous integration practice using Azure DevOps (or other similar platforms).

  • Experience using ServiceNow (or similar platform) to create Service Requests, Incident Reports and action task queue.

  • Experience with cyber vulnerability remediation using Armis (or similar platform).

  • Strong analytical skills, including conceptual, requirements interpretation, solution creation and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to assess and manage risks within application integrations and implement effective mitigation strategies.

  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Actuarial applications: FinX, Moody's Axis, Milliman MG Alfa, & AON Pathwise

  • Experience with Investment Management applications: SS&C PLM, Mercatus, TriOptima, Bloomberg AIM, & Duco

  • Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, SQL Server, ADO (Azure DevOps), Jira, Informatica & Qualytics

  • Experience delivering both in Waterfall and Agile methodologies

  • Experience leveraging AI tools for delivering business value.

Salary Range: C$95,000- $115,000

Our compensation structure is comprised of a base salary and a short-term incentive program (cash bonus). Cash compensation tends to vary based on geography to account for local market conditions and is set to be market competitive. Compensation decisions are based on a number of factors including relative experience, overall years of experience, industry experience, education and designations.
