Implementation Specialist
Our Client is a leading global software product and services company, employing over 600 people worldwide. Our product is a market-leading product, with an integrated suite of workflow applications that automate the business flow of our customers’ equity trading operations, which is used in all the world’s major financial centers. Our Client is a financial is a public, international company with offices located in London, Paris, New York, Hong Kong, and Tokyo.
We are seeking developers with trading systems experience – developing systems from scratch or customizing existing systems for specific client needs. Our product is Windows and UNIX based, with the majority of the scripting written in Tcl. Visual Basic and Visual C++ are also used for the Windows components and C++ is used for the UNIX components.
The role of an Implementation Specialist is to develop, implement and upgrade our customers’ Our product trading systems. Implementation Specialists can expect to spend extensive amounts of time working on client projects that integrate and configure the Our product products to meet a customer’s needs. This demanding and varied role will offer many technical challenges as well as professional challenges, with the opportunity to learn about the global financial trading markets.
Candidate Prerequisites:
We are seeking talented individuals with a Degree in a computer-related discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Information Technology.)
• A strong desire to learn about financial trading with a focus on technology.
• A thorough understanding of computing and an aptitude for complex software applications.
• One or more programming or scripting languages (e.g. Perl, Tcl, Visual Basic).
• UNIX (Solaris would be an advantage).
• SQL and related databases (Sybase would be an advantage).
• A desire to join a small team where you can make an active contribution to the business.
• Familiarity with financial messaging protocols such as FIX, CMS, or STAMP, would be a plus.
Candidates will need to demonstrate that they are self-motivated, possess initiative and good problem solving skills, and are able to work in a team, while also assuming responsibility for their work. The potential candidate will need to be customer focused with excellent interpersonal skills, as well as being comfortable in a dynamic, fast paced environment with a high degree of individual autonomy.
