Company Description
Qi Tech, LLC, is an SBA certified 8(a) small disadvantaged business (SDB) professional consulting firm providing Federal agencies with technical, programmatic and engineering services. Qi Tech employs approximately 60 personnel and is headquartered in Vienna, Virginia. Our support includes: Naval Air Systems Command, Joint Test and Evaluation Joint Program Office (JT&E JPO), software development for Overtone Software (used by U.S. Army) and TAC Worldwide, and US NRC international support in nuclear regulatory capacity building and regulatory oversight over use of radiation sources.
Job Description
• Provide network infrastructure and network security support to the Joint Test and Evaluation (JT&E) IT manager
• Generate and maintain current network documentation to include network drawings, wiring diagrams, etc.
• Install, configure and maintain network routers, switches, firewalls, proxies, etc. to support JT&E operational and security requirements
• Apply STIGs to network infrastructure devices as appropriate
• Maintain current online and near line backups of network devices' (routers, switches, and firewalls) operating systems and configurations
• Perform network troubleshooting using packet capture and analysis software such as Wireshark
• Maintain and troubleshoot T1 and T3 communications lines and equipment
• Provide Customer Service to in-house and external JTs and QRTs
• Maintain Network Time Protocol (NTP) appliances and provide NTP time services to all NIPR/SIPR network connected devices
• Design and implement NIPR and SIPR network topology changes
• Manage NIPR and SIPR IP address allocations
• Use of in house Audio Visual System, to include setup of presentations from external sources
• Configure and maintain commercial in-house telephone system
• Work with Network Server administrators to maintain external services to remote users and organizations
• Setup/maintain office printers/copy machines
Qualifications
Education:Required: Associate's Degree and 5 years of experience; Desired: Bachelor's Degree plus 3 years of experience. Specified discipline: Degree in Information Technology, Networking, Network Security, or related field desired.
Experience:
• Minimum 5 years installing, maintaining and configuring Cisco network devices
• Minimum 2 years' experience with Windows servers/workstations
• Experienced in working as part of an Integrated Project Team (IPT)
• Experienced in working with DISA Secure Technology Implementation Guides (STIG)s
• Experienced with the Cisco Technical Assistance center (TAC)
• Experienced in Customer Service/Help Desk operations
• Thorough understanding of the standard seven layer Open Systems Interconnection model (OSI Model) IPV4 networking model
• Thorough understanding of Cisco Internet Operating System (IOS) router and switch configuration commands
• Thorough understanding of Internet Protocol Version 4 (IPV4) Classless Inter-Domain Routing (CIDR) including variable length subnetting and supernetting
• Thorough understanding of Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) 5510 firewall packet inspection, network address translations, and access control list (ACL) configuration
• Thorough understanding of standard IPV4 network applications such as DHCP, FTP, TFTP, SSH, SMTP, SNMP, HTTP, HTTPS, and SSTP
• Thorough understanding of the Berkley Internet Name Daemon (BIND) Domain Name Service (DNS)
• Thorough understanding of DNS diagnostic and test tools such as NSLOOKUP and DIG• Working knowledge of Network Time protocol (NTP)
• Working knowledge of T1/T3 synchronous serial communication line technology, equipment, and protocols
• Working knowledge of TACACS+ authentication applied to Cisco network infrastructure devices
• Working knowledge of Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) router configuration and security features
• Working knowledge of good engineering practice regarding equipment installation, cable lead dress, cable labelling, and cabling layout
• Basic understanding of IP video teleconferencing (VTC) and H.323 ports and protocols
• Strong research capabilities (including Internet, document, and interviews)
• Knowledge of Microsoft Print Server network printer configuration, setup, and maintenance
