Job description

Overview: 

The Implementation Advocate is part of a consultative implementation team that partners directly with healthcare provider clients to optimize Inovalon products and services based on their unique workflows and business needs. This is an IC-level role suited to someone who is client-facing, solutions-oriented, and brings a working knowledge of revenue cycle management. The team is evolving from transactional service delivery toward a more strategic advisory model, making this an opportunity to grow alongside a team that is expanding its scope and impact. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Manage the client onboarding experience from initial intake through go-live, applying a consultative approach to understand provider workflows and configure solutions accordingly; 
  • Document client requirements and configure applications to meet provider business processes, with emphasis on revenue cycle management workflows including claims, remits, and eligibility; 
  • Set and manage project timelines, milestones, and expectations with customers and internal stakeholders; 
  • Troubleshoot issues using an analytical approach and escalate following defined procedures, ensuring timely communication to customers and internal teams; 
  • Identify and communicate product feedback and expansion opportunities to the appropriate internal teams; 
  • Adhere to all confidentiality, HIPAA, regulatory, and other such policies, procedures, and requirements as outlined within Employer's Operating Policies and Procedures in all ways and at all times with respect to any aspect of the data handled or services rendered in the scope of work; 
  • Maintain compliance with Inovalon's policies, procedures and mission statement, and fulfill those responsibilities and/or duties that may be reasonably provided by Inovalon for the purpose of achieving operational and financial success. 
  • Job Requirements: 
  • Minimum 2 years of experience implementing or supporting software in a high-volume environment; 
  • Healthcare IT experience with working knowledge of revenue cycle management (RCM), including claims, remits, and eligibility processes; familiarity with HIPAA transaction code sets and EDI standards (ANSI X12, 835, 837, 270/271); 
  • Demonstrated experience with SaaS platforms and the ability to work across multiple operating systems (Windows, Linux); 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-first approach; 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce is a plus; 
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; 
  • Familiarity with project management fundamentals; 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Familiarity with clinical environments such as Ambulatory, Post-Acute, or Acute care settings; 
  • Experience with patient payment platforms or scheduling and time and attendance software. 
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus. 

Education: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Physical Demands and Work Environment: 

  • Sedentary work (i.e. sitting for long periods of time). 
  • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or  negligible amount of force. 
  • Subject to inside environmental conditions. 
  • Travel for this position will include less than 5% locally, usually for training purposes.
