Job Description:
At Regions, the Technology Services Implementation Specialist utilizes technical knowledge to partner with company objectives and facilitate the Information Technology Asset Management (ITAM) deployment and execution process for different company initiatives. This role is responsible for the receiving, configuration, installation, deployments and decommission of various IT assets including computer systems, peripherals, printers, scanners, and servers used to support associates.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Configures and installs computer hardware, software, printers, scanners, servers, and other end user peripherals
  • Coordinates warranty repairs, replacements, and returns with manufacturers to resolve operating issues
  • Maintains accurate inventory of computer assets throughout the product lifecycle, including procurement, shipping, deployment, decommissioning, and disposal
  • Provides training and technical assistance to users
  • Supports Facilities and Business Unit projects
  • Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities as needed
  • Travels frequently including overnight as needed
  • Ensures compliance with risk management programs, rules and regulations, and cybersecurity practices; identifies opportunities for and supports process improvements; applies disciplined change management practices
  • May assist in installing, troubleshooting, and supporting core network infrastructure, including switches and routers, patch panels and network cabling
  • May offer advice and guidance to team members, assisting in the development of necessary skills and promotion of continuous improvement initiatives

This position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime for hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Six (6) years experience working with computers, printers, peripherals, network hardware, software, firmware, and operation systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Operating Systems including Windows Server, PowerShell language, SCCM, Active Directory, Imaging and VDI solutions
  • Ability to lift or move items up to 50 pounds
  • A valid driver's license
  • Willing and able to travel

Preferences
  • A+ Certification and/or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
  • Some college level courses plus technical training

Skills and Competencies
  • Ability to interpret and ensure compliance with applicable rules, regulations, and industry guidance
  • Ability to manage the receiving and organizing of assets
  • Advanced knowledge of computer imaging, software installation and support, and implementing standard desktop and laptop solutions
  • Advanced knowledge of physical server environments, network folder access, and drive mappings
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in computer maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and problem resolution
  • Outstanding customer service
  • Proficient in printer installation, configuration, component functions, driver installation, maintenance and repair

This position is onsite 5 days a week in Shreveport, LA.
